There was inconsistency with what the form showed and what actually was
sent to the backend. I opted to make it so that explicitly blank values
are always sent rather than have blank values silently changing to the
default value.
Extracts the workspace app iframe, wildcard warning, and workspace-app
helper functions out of TaskPage into shared `site/src/modules/apps`
modules. Existing agent and app lookups in the task chat helpers,
download-logs dialog, and workspaces table now route through the shared
`workspaceApps` helpers instead of duplicating resource-flattening
logic. The extracted frame preserves the existing preview-only toolbar
behavior, and its open-in-new-tab link gains `rel="noreferrer"` to
harden against tabnabbing.
Relates to CODAGT-346
Create and start workspace tool cards now recognize `INSUFFICIENT_QUOTA`
results and use the server-provided quota failure title in the build-log
dropdown. The existing warning icon and tooltip remain, while the
assistant response remains the place for the detailed recovery guidance.
Adds Storybook coverage for quota-reached create and start workspace
results.
https://github.com/coder/coder/pull/24956 added the necessary backend
changes.

Closes CODAGT-20
This pull-request looks at all (most) of our instances of `const styles
= { ... }` and attempts to smooth them down into the minimum viable
Tailwind equivalent 🙂
Previously we only showed an error when the startup script failed. Now:
- Add a warning icon to each failed script.
- Sort the failed script tabs first.
- Modify agent health messages to pull the errors notices from the new
location instead of from the single agent lifecycle enum. This means
errors are shown for each script and the count is accurate.
Previously, the workspace "Download logs" dialog formatted the original byte
count with the promoted unit, so sizes above 1 KiB could be shown incorrectly,
for example `4472 KB` instead of `4.37 KB`. Exact 1024-byte files also stayed
in bytes.
This branch tightens import hygiene and editor guidance to reduce
accidental use of legacy or discouraged patterns.
It also updates consumers too, by propagating the new `lucide-react`
import convention across the existing UI surfaces that reference those
icons.
- Updated `.vscode/settings.json` to prefer non-relative imports and
improve TypeScript auto-import behavior.
- Re-enabled and expanded Biome restricted-import enforcement in
`biome.jsonc` for migration guardrails.
- Added/used `lucide-react` `-Icon` naming conventions for clarity and
consistency.
- Updated consumers too across components, modules, and pages so the new
import rules are applied end-to-end.
Replaces remaining MUI `<Skeleton />` usages with our shared `Skeleton`
component to keep loading states consistent and reduce MUI/Emotion
coupling. Also cleans up a few adjacent touched styles while preserving
existing behavior.
- Replace `@mui/material/Skeleton` with `#/components/Skeleton/Skeleton`
- Remove a few MUI-specific skeleton patterns at callsites
- De-mui adjacent Emotion styles
- Simplify filter layout handling with class-based responsive wrapping
This pull-request addresses a few design things within the `<AgentRow
/>` element. This is a follow-on from the previous work done with
implementing tabs.
- Workspace border can no longer be red, will always be orange (this was
done in a previous PR but not stated).
- Warnings have been moved to inside the Agent Logs collapsible.
- Warning badge has been added to the Agent Logs collapsible trigger.
- Collapsible is now open by default when there is an error inside of
the agent.
- Agent disconnected is no longer prominent by default.
\`InlineMarkdown\` and \`MemoizedInlineMarkdown\` lived in
\`Markdown.tsx\`
alongside a static \`import { Prism as SyntaxHighlighter } from
"react-syntax-highlighter"\` — the full PrismJS build with ~300 language
grammars. Because \`DashboardLayout\` eagerly imports
\`AnnouncementBannerView → InlineMarkdown\`, every authenticated page
loaded and evaluated the entire Prism/refractor bundle on startup even
though syntax highlighting is only used in secondary views.
This PR moves \`InlineMarkdown\` and \`MemoizedInlineMarkdown\` into
their
own \`InlineMarkdown.tsx\` file that depends only on \`react-markdown\`
and
updates all six consumers to import from the new module.
\`Markdown.tsx\`
keeps the PrismJS import for the full \`Markdown\` component, which is
only reached through lazy-loaded routes.

This pull-request makes a few changes to our `<Badge />` component to
bring it inline with Figma.
* Added all variants to the stories of Figma (they can vary per
badge-type, so its better we track everything).
* Removed the `border` variant of the component, border variants should
be on all `sm` and `md`.
* Added a hover effect to the `default` variant (per-design).
* Resolved issue with sizings of `xs` and `sm` plus resolved
iconography.
* Resolved issue with icons not showing at all on `xs` variants.
## Problem
Workspaces showed as "Healthy" immediately after creation while the
agent was still downloading, starting, or connecting. If the agent never
connected, the workspace stayed "Healthy" for the entire connection
timeout (~120s), then abruptly flipped to "Unhealthy".
## Root cause
In `db2sdk.WorkspaceAgent`, the health switch had no case for
`WorkspaceAgentConnecting`. Agents in `connecting` status with a
non-`off` lifecycle (e.g. `created` after a fresh build) fell through to
the `default` case and were marked `Healthy = true`.
## Fix
Add an explicit case for `WorkspaceAgentConnecting` that sets `Healthy =
false` with reason `"agent has not yet connected"`. The case is placed
after the existing `!connected + off` case (which correctly catches
stopped agents as "not running") and before the `timeout`/`disconnected`
cases.
```
Status + Lifecycle → Health reason
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────
any !connected + off → "agent is not running"
connecting + created/starting → "agent has not yet connected" ← NEW
timeout + any → "agent is taking too long to connect"
disconnected + any → "agent has lost connection"
connected + start_error → "agent startup script exited with an error"
connected + shutting_down → "agent is shutting down"
connected + ready/starting → healthy
```
The frontend already handles this case — `getAgentHealthIssue()` returns
"Workspace agent is still connecting" with `severity: "info"` for
unhealthy workspaces with connecting agents.
## Test changes
- **Healthy test**: now actually connects the agent via `agenttest.New`
before asserting health (previously passed due to the bug).
- **New Connecting test**: verifies a never-connected agent is correctly
marked unhealthy.
- **Mixed health test**: connects a1 and waits for the mixed state
(`a1.Healthy && !workspace.Healthy`) to avoid a race where both agents
are initially connecting.
- **Sub-agent excluded test**: connects the parent agent and waits for
it to be healthy before creating the sub-agent.
- **TestWorkspaceAgent/Connect**: flipped assertion to `Health.Healthy
== false` for a `dbfake` agent that never connects.

### Known follow-up
The `healthy:false` workspace search filter maps to `[disconnected,
timeout]` and does not include `connecting`. This is a pre-existing gap
that is now more consequential — a workspace unhealthy solely due to a
connecting agent won't appear in `healthy:false` results. Worth a
follow-up issue.

This refactors `<Tabs />` into two clearer patterns: link tabs for route
navigation and Radix tabs for stateful tab panels. That gives us proper
accessibility semantics where we need them without overloading simple
navigation tabs.
As part of that split, this updates several consumers, adds coverage for
both variants, and cleans up some nearby styling.
- introduce Radix-backed tabs primitives for tabbed content
- move router-based tabs to `LinkTabs`
- update notifications, IdP sync, and workspace build pages to use
semantic tabs
- preserve route navigation tabs for groups and templates
- add stories/tests for both tab implementations
- simplify related layout and styling in touched components
The agent row tooltip showed "Error starting the agent" / "Something
went wrong during the agent startup" with a red border when a startup
script fails. This is misleading — the agent is started and functional,
only the startup script exited with a non-zero code.
Extracts shared message constants (`agentLifecycleMessages`,
`agentStatusMessages`) from `health.ts` so both the workspace-level
health classification and the per-agent-row tooltips reference the same
single source of truth. No more duplicated wording that can drift.
Changes:
- **`health.ts`**: Exports `agentLifecycleMessages` and
`agentStatusMessages` maps; `getAgentHealthIssue` now references them
instead of inline strings.
- **`AgentStatus.tsx`**: All lifecycle/status tooltip components
(`StartErrorLifecycle`, `StartTimeoutLifecycle`,
`ShutdownTimeoutLifecycle`, `ShutdownErrorLifecycle`, `TimeoutStatus`)
now import and render from the shared message constants.
`StartErrorLifecycle` icon changed from red (`errorWarning`) to orange
(`timeoutWarning`).
- **`AgentRow.tsx`**: `start_error` border changed from
`border-border-destructive` (red) to `border-border-warning` (orange).

This was accomplished by switching from the comboxbox (which has
deselection logic) to a select (which does not).
As a side effect, the dropdowns are wider now, which seems to match
better with other inputs anyway. And, it seems it uses the `combobox`
role instead of `button` which also seems to make more sense. Lastly,
they lose some bolding.
Currently the sharing UI is only hidden under certain circumstances,
rather than on a permission basis. This makes it permissions based, and
makes some backend changes to make sure permissions are correct.
Replaces our custom `<GlobalSnackbar />` (MUI Snackbar + event emitter)
with [`sonner`](https://github.com/emilkowalski/sonner). Deletes
`GlobalSnackbar/`, the custom event emitter infra, and migrates ~80
source files to `toast.success()` / `toast.error()` from `sonner`.
- ~47 error toasts now surface API error detail via
`getErrorDetail(error)` in the toast description, not just a generic
message. Coincides with #22229.
- Toast messages follow an `{Action} "{entity}" {result}.` format (e.g.
`User "alice" suspended successfully.`) since toasts persist across
navigation now.
- 17 uses of `toast.promise()` for loading → success → error lifecycle.
- Some toasts include action buttons for quick navigation (e.g. "View
task", "View template").
- Multiple toasts can stack and display simultaneously.
