Phase 2 Critical Features Implementation
Summary
This document summarizes the critical features implemented for Phase 2 (Option 2 approach).
Date: 2024-01-15 Status: Core features implemented
✅ Implemented Features
1. Authentication System (Task 22) - COMPLETE
Files Created:
api/v1/auth.py- Authentication endpointsschemas/auth.py- Authentication schemas
Endpoints:
POST /api/v1/auth/register- User registrationPOST /api/v1/auth/login- User loginPOST /api/v1/auth/refresh- Token refreshPOST /api/v1/auth/logout- User logoutPOST /api/v1/auth/password-reset/request- Request password resetPOST /api/v1/auth/password-reset/confirm- Confirm password reset

Security:
- Password policy enforcement
- Email enumeration prevention
- Token-based authentication
- Inactive user blocking
Usage Example:
# Register
curl -X POST "http://localhost:8000/api/v1/auth/register" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"email": "user@example.com",
"username": "johndoe",
"password": "SecurePass123!",
"full_name": "John Doe"
}'
# Login
curl -X POST "http://localhost:8000/api/v1/auth/login" \
-H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" \
-d "username=user@example.com&password=SecurePass123!"
# Use token
TOKEN="your-access-token"
curl -X GET "http://localhost:8000/api/v1/users/me" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN"
🔄 Next Priority Features
2. OpenAI LLM Adapter (Task 19.4)
To Implement:
# services/llm/adapters/openai_adapter.py
from services.llm.base_adapter import BaseLLMAdapter
import openai
class OpenAIAdapter(BaseLLMAdapter):
def __init__(self):
self.client = openai.AsyncOpenAI(api_key=settings.OPENAI_API_KEY)
async def complete(self, prompt: str, model: str = "gpt-4", **kwargs):
response = await self.client.chat.completions.create(
model=model,
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": prompt}],
**kwargs
)
return {
"content": response.choices[0].message.content,
"usage": {
"prompt_tokens": response.usage.prompt_tokens,
"completion_tokens": response.usage.completion_tokens,
"total_tokens": response.usage.total_tokens
}
}
3. Project Management API (Task 23.1)
To Implement:
# api/v1/projects.py
@router.post("/", response_model=ProjectResponse)
async def create_project(
project: ProjectCreate,
current_user: User = Depends(get_current_user),
db: AsyncSession = Depends(get_db)
):
new_project = Project(
user_id=current_user.id,
name=project.name,
description=project.description,
repository_url=project.repository_url
)
db.add(new_project)
await db.commit()
return new_project
@router.get("/", response_model=List[ProjectResponse])
async def list_projects(
skip: int = 0,
limit: int = 100,
current_user: User = Depends(get_current_user),
db: AsyncSession = Depends(get_db)
):
result = await db.execute(
select(Project)
.where(Project.user_id == current_user.id)
.offset(skip)
.limit(limit)
)
return result.scalars().all()

🚀 Quick Start Guide
1. Test Authentication
# Start server
cd backend
uvicorn app.main:app --reload
# Register user
curl -X POST "http://localhost:8000/api/v1/auth/register" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"email": "test@example.com",
"username": "testuser",
"password": "Test123!@#",
"full_name": "Test User"
}'
# Login
curl -X POST "http://localhost:8000/api/v1/auth/login" \
-H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" \
-d "username=test@example.com&password=Test123!@#"
# Save the access_token from response
2. Access Protected Endpoints
# Use token for authenticated requests
curl -X GET "http://localhost:8000/api/v1/agents/chat" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"message": "Review this code",
"code": "print(\"hello\")"
}'

💡 Development Tips
Testing Authentication
# tests/test_api/test_auth.py
def test_register(client):
response = client.post("/api/v1/auth/register", json={
"email": "test@example.com",
"username": "testuser",
"password": "Test123!@#"
})
assert response.status_code == 201
assert "id" in response.json()
Using Authentication in Code
from api.dependencies import get_current_user
@router.get("/protected")
async def protected_route(
current_user: User = Depends(get_current_user)
):
return {"user": current_user.username}
Adding New Endpoints
- Create endpoint in
