Verify and apply @jmchilton's fix from https://github.com/jmchilton/galaxy-central/commit/306a86558a7ee7be1bc2d68cd939b16b5f1863d4 to next-stable. Should be refactored into using the same galaxy.menu.js objects -- I'm assuming that's why things like PopupMenu.fromExistingDom exist and are otherwise unused.

These have been nothing but trouble (they have been disabled some places) and are awkward in those places that have not been changed.
Is there any place in Galaxy where multi-select inputs + select2 are being used to create a desirable UX? If yes, can we just create a class for these particular widgets and target it with a boolean expression on the same line?

Abstract away logic for updating select boxes. For multiple select boxes set closeOnSelect to false, this vastly reduces the clicking required to select many items.

8cb9395fae
New tool menu generation using a JavaScript Backbone-based MVC framework. Framework principals are (a) event-based communication from model to view and (b) Backbone views act more as controllers with the HTML as the view itself. Tool menu generation and search are completely functional; recently used tools and tool tags are not yet implemented.
