MCTS

Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) is a search algorithm that builds a game tree by randomly simulating game play-outs and using the results to guide further exploration. It balances exploration of unknown branches with exploitation of known good moves using the UCB1 formula. MCTS is well-suited to games with large branching factors and is the backbone of AlphaGo and similar systems.
