Understand Frame Rates
Frame rate measures the frequency at which individual images, known as frames, are displayed on a screen to create the illusion of motion. In React Native applications, maintaining a consistent frame rate—typically 60 frames per second—is essential for ensuring that animations and transitions feel smooth and responsive to the user. When the frame rate drops, the interface experiences stuttering or lag, which occurs if the JavaScript thread or the UI thread becomes overwhelmed by heavy computations or inefficient rendering cycles.
